Clinics

Sally offers lessons and clinics for all levels, from beginners to advanced riders, and welcomes horses into training at her facility in Oxford, PA and in Aiken, SC (Jan through March). She also offers coaching and competing at events.

Safety is always my primary concern — with students and in my own training . If everyone comes home in one piece, it wasn't a bad day.

❋ Safety

Confidence without skill is a liability, and skill without confidence holds a rider back.

I focus on teaching riders to recognize early warning signs and correct issues before they escalate, as horses tend to follow patterns when struggling — and it's our job as riders and trainers to find those patterns and address them.

❋ Confidence & Competence

I help riders choose appropriate events with one guiding question: Can this horse do the job confidently in poor conditions — rain, mud, an off day?

Scheduling When requesting a lesson, please share any time constraints upfront. I'll send a proposed time for your confirmation — once you accept, that spot is yours and you are committed

Cancellations If you need to cancel after a time has been confirmed, you will be charged for the lesson unless you find someone to take your slot.

Punctuality Please arrive early enough to have your horse warmed up and ready at your scheduled start time. If you arrive late, your lesson will still end at the originally scheduled time, as late arrivals affect everyone after you.

Weather & Conditions I always consider footing, weather, and driving conditions. If conditions are unsafe, I will cancel. If conditions are simply uncomfortable, lessons will proceed as scheduled — I expect you to either attend or find a replacement, and payment is still required.
